While working for the Town of Stony Plain, Jean was the Project Manager ofn a new land use bylaw. It was necessary to implement the Municipal Development Plan. The underlying principles in development of the land use bylaw were to find an appropriate balance between flexibility and certainty, public and private as well as regulation versus ease of use. Consequently, the land use bylaw sets out to regulate land use in a concise and easy to enforce manner. Chris worked as an embedded consultant to provide technical advice and high level review of the bylaw.
